      * * *

      Over a dinner of Vietnamese noodle soup, Anali and Gavin taught me some new meditation techniques to help block out other people's emotions. The new techniques built upon deep breathing, which I learned in yoga, and felt vaguely familiar. Maybe I dreamed about it.

      After a rowdy game of Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock, Gavin won and would pick next weekend's destination. I was surprised by how much I looked forward to next week's adventure.
