My regular readers are probably surprised by the ending. I was.
This also seems to be where we’re leaving the Hunter Dane Investigation books for a while. I’ll be focusing on Cam and the Foundation and characters you met in Psychic Men in Flight coming this spring.
But part of Hunt&Cam4Ever are the books that don’t include investigations like the book that started this all, On His Knees, and Snowed In: Hunter’s Story. I usually refer to Snowed as a “sex fest,” but that makes it sound like porno instead of love story and it’s as love storyish as these guys ever get. It’s also, so far, the highest-rated of the books.
I’m expecting more titles in the series, probably novellas and not investigations.
About Secret: The Hortt Orchard story is based on a true crime. A man did live in the attic of a house after he murdered the homeowner while the widow was still in residence. Most of the elements are very close to the original story. For instance, the real access panels were the exact size of the one in the pantry in Secret. I’ll talk about it more on the blog after the book has been out for a while to avoid spoilers.
The clinical trial Avia got Cam into is also based in reality. (And, BTW, “huntingtin” is spelled correctly where you see it. “Huntington” is the name of the disease.) There’s a lot of exciting progress being made to treat it and I really liked being able to include it in the book.
The note in Penelope Maki’s hand is the same as a note from an actual suicide of a young woman about her age. Denver police never did find out her secret.
