Everyone and Everything, Page 2

‘The Valley of the Two Tall Oaks’

(A story about separation, loss and bereavement).

Once upon a time there were two tall oak trees, which had stood side-by-side for many years.

They were admired and looked up to by ‘everyone and everything’, which passed their way.

They were magnificent trees and they stood proudly at the entrance of a beautiful valley, which was shaped like a horseshoe, forming a natural gateway to the village that lay beyond.

All around ‘Horseshoe Valley’ rested a mountain of hard stone, which reached up into the sky. The mountain was so high it protected ‘everyone and everything’ that lived within its hugging arms.

The mountain was so steep that it was impossible to climb, and the only way into and out of the valley was to pass through the giant-sized iron gates, which had been placed between the two tall oak trees at the entrance to the village.

‘Horseshoe Valley’ was a wonderful place to live and ‘everyone and everything’ that lived there were very happy.
