  COMING THROUGH

You wouldn’t like me when I’m mad

or be around me when I’m sad

but you know I’m coming through

and 50 hands could not hold me

I’ll cut ‘em off and throw ‘em in a stew

You don’t know what’s in my head

you’re just sleeping in my bed

but you know I’m coming through

and 50 men could not stop me

I don’t care about your crew

You don’t like me when I’m bad

some people say I’m going mad

but you know I’m coming through

and 50 horses could not stomp me

I’ll quickly turn them into glue

Like I said, I’m coming through

and there ain’t nothing you can do

yeah you know I’m coming through

and there ain’t nothing you can do

You don’t know what I just said

or why I’m feeling almost dead

but you know I’m coming through

and 50 rocks could not drop me

  I’ll disappear into the blue

There is nothing you can add

we are finished with this thread

but you know I’m coming through

and 50 trucks could not block me

  I won’t leave nothing but a screw

So am I coming through to you

and is there something I could do

‘cause you know I’m coming through

so let me in and I will show it to you

  CHASING SHADOWS

I’ve got some business to attend to

so call me when my rent’s due

I’ve got some business to attend to

  chasing shadows feels so true

  I’ll be back, I don’t know when

I’ll be back, but until then

take care of all my stuff

take care and please be tough

  I’ll be back, I don’t know when

I’ll be back, but until then

don’t act out on your thoughts

don’t go visit no crazy spots

  Where people sing and dance

  and drink and talk romance

  don’t go to places such

  I can’t stand a stranger’s touch

  don’t go to places such

unless you don’t miss me all that much

I’ll be back, I just don’t know when

I’ll be back, but until then

await for me in that silk white robe

and wash yourself with that nice white soap

‘Cause I’ll be back, I just don’t know when

yeah I’ll be back, so until then

take care of all my stuff

take care and please be tough

I’ve got some business to attend to

but I’ll be back before my rent’s due

I’ve got some business to attend to

chasing shadows like I’m used to

Down, down, down in the dark

chasing shadows like I’m used to

  chasing shadows feels so true

  WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED

Won’t you hold my hand ever so gently

and take me far out to the sea

hold me down and let me drown

then let go and leave me floating all around

leave me floating all around like you always wanted to

  like you always wanted to

  And I won’t fight

I’ll let you drown me slowly

I’ll let you drown me slowly ‘cause you always wanted to

  yeah you always wanted to

Won’t you hold me close ever so softly

and stand with me on the edge of the highest building’s ledge

push me down and watch me fall

then leave me broken down in pieces

leave me broken down in pieces like you always wanted to

  like you always wanted to

  And I won’t fight

I’ll let you push me down to fall

I’ll let you push me down to fall ‘cause you always wanted to

  yeah you always wanted to

Won’t you kiss me ever so lovely

and from your lips the poison slips

down into my mouth and you watch as I scream and shout

and I fall down onto the ground

I fall down onto the ground like you always wanted to

  like you always wanted to

  And I won’t fight

I’ll let you put me to the ground

I’ll let you put me to the ground ‘cause you always wanted to

  yeah you always wanted to

  LIKE A NOMAD

I’ll teach you how to fly

reach out and touch the sky

but don’t think I’ll call you my muse

you haven’t walked in my shoes

Like a nomad I travel the lands

and just like a nomad I shook many hands

I’ll invent the wheel for you

but there’s no way I’ll kneel for you

  I’ll soon continue my way

I never cared what they say

Like a nomad I call no place home

and just like a nomad I’m destined to roam

  I’ll give you hot water

but after that don’t even bother

I won’t stay by your side

I still have too much pride

Like a nomad I look out for my horde

and just like a nomad I too have no lord

I’ll find you the fountain of youth

I hope in it you’ll gain some truth

and realize things you haven’t so far

like how my soul got that big old scar

Like a nomad I feel the winds blow

I’m just like a nomad, but you’ll never know

  TWISTED CHILD’S PLAY

  Only the night knows

  how my sad story goes

  with rain or stars above

I cry out for your love

  Only the night knows

how I want you so close

  in weather hot or cold

for all days, until we get old

  in weather hot or cold

every day, until we get old

  Only the night knows

  the words I compose

like a work of fine art

  coming straight from the heart

into a world that keeps us apart

no chance for redemption, no clean new start

  Only the night knows

where I threw your red rose

deep in the shadows of trees

I held my head down and fell on my knees

I screamed and begged “Oh, please!”

but the night couldn’t set my soul at ease

and I screamed and begged “Oh, please! Oh, please!”

but the night wouldn’t set my soul at ease

And the light of new day

  keeps my heartache at bay

as the Sun will shine down

I’ll act like a clown and I’ll never frown

  or hold my head down

  I
€™ll do anything to keep you in town

And the light of new day

  will never betray

all the secrets of the night

all the heartache that I fight

when I see you standing there in white

and you hold his hand so tight

I see you standing there in white

as you hold his hand so tight

And the light of new day

  will come back today

I feel like such a cliché

  stuck somewhere halfway

And the light of new day

  will continue its way

leaving me here, I have to obey

and I can’t walk away from this twisted child’s play

leave me right here, I have to obey

and I can’t walk away from this twisted child’s play

  WELL I GUESS

  I guess that you think

  there are plenty of guys

  who write songs about you

  every day

And I guess that you think

  there are plenty of guys

  who dream about you

  every night

And I guess that you think

  there are plenty of guys

  who could love you

  more than I do

Well I guess that I think

  there are plenty of guys

  who could write rhymes

  the way that I do

And I guess that I think

  there are plenty of guys

  who dream about your eyes

  just like I do

  But I know and believe

there is no one in this world

  who could love you

  more than I do

So I guess if you think

you could find all those guys

who write songs with nice rhymes

then I guess that I think

you should go out and meet

  all of those guys

And I guess if you think

you could find all those guys

who would dream about your eyes

then I guess that I think

you should go out and meet

  all of those guys

And I guess if you think

you could find all those guys

who’d love you more than their lives

I would still stand and believe

that you could not find love

  stronger than mine

  WHERE WE MET

  I’m standing on the corner

of the street where we met

and the Sun is high above me

and it feels so real to me

You come running ‘round the corner

of the street where we met

and there’s a flower in your hair

and it feels so real to me

You hug me like you used to

on the street where we met

and you tell me that you missed me

and it feels so real to me

You kiss me like you used to

on the street where we met

and you tell me that you love me

and it feels so real to me

I wake up in the morning

in a bed that we shared

  and I realize my dream

it felt so real to me

  I’m standing on the corner

of the street where we met

  and I can’t believe it’s over

it felt so real to me

  I’m waiting on the corner

of the street where we met

and I’m hoping you’ll be back

it felt so real to me

Everything felt so real to me

won’t you come back and save me?

And everything still feels so real to me

won’t you come back and stay with me?

  YOUR LAST SONG

  This is the last song

  I’ll write for you

  I’m moving on,

my heart’s had enough of you

  This is the last time

I’ll seek the shelter of your arms

  from now on I believe

I’ve had enough of your charms

  All the clouds have gone

making way for a brand new dawn

  See me walk away now

  towards the Sun

  Watch me take a bow

  ‘cause we are done

  All the storms have passed

and the Sun is shining at long last

  See me walk away now

  towards the Sun

  Watch me take a bow

  ‘cause we are done

  This is the last time

  I’ll look into your eyes

  from now I’m free

I’ve had enough of your disguise

And this is the last verse

  I’ll give to you

  I’m moving on,

I’ve had too much of you

  See me walk away now

  towards the Sun

  Watch me take a bow

  ‘cause we are done

  SOMETIMES

  Sometimes I can’t tell

  if I’ve lost my head

  or the people around me

  have all but gone mad

  My father’s mind

  has gone to hell

  and my girl treats me

  like a dog, oh well

  The friends that I’ve had

  have all turned to bad

and the trust that I knew

  got lost in this zoo

  The books that I’ve read

  have endings so sad

and the songs that I’ve heard

  all sound too absurd

  The places I’ve been to

  all look so brand new

  but deep down inside

  they remind me of you

  Sometimes I feel the distance

  between me and this world

and I feel my whole resistance

  going down with this world

  Sometimes I wish

  I’d lose my head

  ‘cause the people around me

  are turning me mad

  Sometimes I wish

  that I could fly away

  ‘cause the people around me

are making me cry each day

  A LITTLE FLAME

  It may seem

  like I’m rushing things

  and it may seem

I’m trying to cut your wings

but listen to me here and now

  stand right there

  and I’ll show you how

I see the world in all its glory

  come stand right here

I’ll tell you one true story

If you look inside my head

here’s what you will find –

  a constant thought of death

  is always on my mind

  I have to live

  like there’s no tomorrow

  ‘cause if I don’t

I’ll be drowning in my sorrow

  I can’t stay sane

  ‘cause deep inside my brain

  I’m like a little flame

that no one came to claim

  So it may seem

  like I’m rushing things

  and it may seem

I’m trying to cut your wings

but listen to me here and now

I really want to show you how

you’re the only one who sets me free

you’re the only one, so please don’t flee

  Come stand right here

  and try to see

  honey, you’re the only one

  I want next to me

  AUTHOR’S NOTES

I’ve been reading people’s reviews of ‘About A Girl’ and I have to say I find it hard to believe that some of you didn’t understand what the story is about; it’s not that hard to follow. Spoiler alert! In ‘The D
reamer’ you have a guy that is constantly in his own dream world, hence the big hint in the title; and he only semi-awakens within the events of ‘The Coffee’ where his situation is explained. ‘The Doctor’ takes place after those two, although it is (for the sake of the story) put in the middle.

There have also been a couple of complaints about my excessive use of bad words - to which I say - stop reading my stuff, because it is only going to get worse; especially next month, when ‘Ramblings’ will see the light of internet day. So if the seven words you can never say on television really distract you from what I am saying, or trying to say, then please stop reading my material. Thank you.
