  Synopsis

12 year-old Max has never felt like he belonged at school or in his family. But one day, he is whisked away to a supernatural world where he discovers the very features that make him unique help him survive and even to claim his birthright as the Emperor of Occultoria, the government of the Supernatural World.

With his wits, some magical abilities and some friends to assist him, Max must reunite all the rebellious parts of the strife-ridden Occultorian Empire to restore the balance of and keep the peace between the Natural and Supernatural Worlds.

His first task is to force the Queen of Purgatorio into submission. As Max steps into the eerie land of wailing ghosts, he discovers that part of growing up means being courageous and confident - even when he doesn’t feel it.

An inspirational story of growing up, belonging and believing in yourself, the Crown Prince of Occultoria is the first in a children’s coming-of-age series that combines elements of mystery, adventure, fantasy, thrillers, romance, magic, enchantment and the supernatural.

  Special Note to the Reader

This series is very dear to my heart. I wanted to write something that is inspiring, uplifting and transcendent. This series is for every reader that has ever felt neglected and left out. This is for every reader that has ever felt that they don’t belong, that they don’t fit in, that they’re out of place. This is for every reader that has ever been hurt or lonely or depressed because of their uniqueness.

The good news is that you’re not supposed to fit in. God or the Universe or the Great Creator or whatever you want to call it has greater designs for you. Your uniqueness is your strength. Put it to good, charitable use. Heal the whole world with it.

But along the way, you will encounter people who will tell you no, people who will make fun of you and be mean and cruel to you because you’re different, people who will even go out of their way to sabotage and harm you. Have nothing to do with them. Ignore them and keep on going along your path. They don’t matter in the long run. Their only role is to make you stronger, because without adversity, obstacles and battles, how can you grow? Without adversity, how will you become your own emperor or empress?

There will be moments of doubt, but keep on going no matter what, keep on believing in your heart and in yourself and your dreams will come true. There is nothing that is impossible. There once was a wise man who said whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right either way. If you refuse to give up, you too can grow into the person you were supposed to be. The spark is already inside you. It has always been there. You just need to bring it out. Then you too can become your own unique emperor or empress.
