Lombard trilogy.

Edoardo Angeloni

  Lombard trilogy.

How it changes the way of thinking of the Italians about the evolution of globalization? Three novels, whom I have posed here, describe typical situation of North Italy, particularly in Lombardia, as the people represented tries to resolve his life between typical events of an international context, preserving in some way his identity. I would talk about a process between the European culture and the traditional Lombard reality, what that I consider a feed-back . It in fact happens at level of aphorisms and not of big ideological questions. Next 20 years from the Fall of the Berlin Wall, our persons don’t be interested about big questions, but about particular situations of standard life.

But North-Italy results very efficient by a technologic view, but it has certain difficulties for the little dimension of its agencies. Therefore it must expand new markets in East Europe and Asia or active its researches in England. So I want describe shortly facts whom I think they could be important and their consequences will increase next years. I’m an economist and statistical and I should propose an interpretation of those fact in short time by a mathematical view; nevertheless a good knowledge of art and philosophy can give also to the literature the possibility to predict the cultural trends of next years.

It is important as we pass from the functionalism (Pareto, Luhmann, Arrow) to the post-modern (Rorty, Jameson, Said). The man without identity of the social networks should be able to use the informal goods. I wrote in “A mathematical at Perugia” of 2008 that “if the model would explicate only ¾ of the real event, it would be already a big success, because he retained that often in economics to act with errors is better than without trials. The econometry couldn’t describe the situations in the same way than the physics explicates an eclipse or a weather change, but with simple trials we can know an economic event sufficiently, if those data increase the problem sensibility”.

In an other my book “Aspects of the USA life”, which is at 2004, I proposed considerations whom couldn’t be original in a micro-economic context, but in econometry maintain still predictive capacities. In effect here I talk about behaviors happened in Usa, but being real also in the European societies more modern. This trilogy represents just the way which with our better reality should try to react to Usa activity and therefore they find the capacities and the resources in this competition.

Surely my position can’t avoid critics, because those stories wouldn’t be liked to most people, because little original. They are expression of Lombard standard life, as Montale or Calvino could be so, considering obviously my limits respect this approach. But it is this type of life which allows to passing to big international events, who are very complex and my approach to those facts is only sufficiently general.

Calvino, talking about “The unsustainable lightness of being” of Kundera in “American lessons”, tells: “The life difficulty for Kundera is in every form of public and private constriction, what gets every existence with knots always more strict. His romance shows us as in the life all that we choice or like as light, often reveals an hardness. I think that only the lightness and the mobility of intelligence avoid this guilt” (pag. 11). And he about Montale writes: ”The Montale poetry is a faith in the persistence of that what more liked, next it will be dead, and in the ethic values whom we posed in the little things”.

It is interesting to consider a critical relation between “A mathematic to Perugia” with this trilogy. Luhmann writes in “Love and passion”: “Nothing allows to consider that the research of new forms and new solutions must have success and that the increasing of complexity can be contained in all functional aspects of the society. We must in the same time work with analysis related to facts, historical, socio-structural and ideological, if we want understand until which point the society can be compatible with its evolution” (pag. 10).

Still Luhmann writes: “For an observer it is very difficult to include in his observation the back-ground of the system observed. It needs after that the “subject” concept comes null at XVIII century; because we must resolve the other in relation with the back-ground, that has for him a function and in relation with him-self, and we must understand it starting no more from qualities, but from functional modalities” (pag. 17). So Giovanni falls in love in Perugia and this fact can be related to the Middle Age and the Renaissance, while Antonio at Madrid entries in contact with the modern Imperialism, so Wien can be seen in some way similar.

By Giovanni “the difference between love for God and love for the woman, in according to the love semantics in the Middle Age, is the distinction that we have in the our eyes, when in all two cases it is a promise of an mystic unit” (pag. 50). In the Classicism and the Romanticism “the paradox becomes reality productive in a semantic way”, the first through the dichotomy between rational and irrational, the second for the humor.

Luhmann writes: “About his plaisir it doesn’t be any freedom and therefore we can’t reduce the subject to freedom” (pag. 113).The modern lover imposed him-self a form of a pathos for not doing be responsible about the things of metaphysics. It has similar consequences also in according with the scientific culture? Luhmann tells: “The plaisir exists only in the moment and for the moment when one has this experience. The auto-certainty it-self is so posed in the time and it became object of doubt, of the no still so as the no more” (pag. 115).

The mathematics studies it in according to the Godel logics and the Mandelbrot fractals theory. In “An Italian at Madrid” I talks particularly as this mathematics can explicate the architectural perception of the back-ground and partially also the submission to the girls beauty by Antonio. The Luhmann ethics can be explicate so shortly: “The identity is lost by the love, it can save it-self only with the variability. It changes in the XVIII century: the uncertainty and the fitness of the characters make possible the stability in love” (pag. 130)
