Karen and her friends Jimmy, Doug and David were avid ghost hunters in their town. They were always excited to find a new location that no other ghost hunters had explored. As Karen and her friends were driving around after midnight on a windy night bored of not being able to find a new location, they were about to give up and David said, "Stop! Doug replied, "You scared the crap out of me. I almost ran the car off the road."

"Sorry, but I just remembered when I was just a little boy, I used to walk down this old dirt road with my best friend Tommy, and we used to read the writings on the tombstones. Tommy told me that a family of Witches were buried in this unmarked cemetery. Of course, I had nightmares quite frequently that the family of Witches would come out of their graves and kill me someday. But when I got a little older, my friend Tommy told me he made the story up just to scare me since I was so much younger than he was. He knew I was a scaredy cat and would probably have nightmares. Boy was he right, I had so many nightmares about that cemetery that I wouldn't step foot on that dirt road if you gave me a million dollars. Now that I'm so much older now and not afraid of any ghosts, I think it would be pretty cool to check out the cemetery I was so afraid of so long ago," explained David.

Doug answered, "Well, since we’re all here and no exciting ghost sightings, we may as well check out the cemetery for any Witches," laughed Doug. Doug drove the car down the old dirt road and as he approached the location of the cemetery he said, "Look, I think I saw something by one of the tombstones. It's probably nothing."

Karen laughed and said," It's probably one of the Witches welcoming us to the cemetery."

Jimmy chimed in and said, "Lets grab our ghost gear and get this party started, I'm eager to capture a ghost on film so we can get our name out in the community. This might be what we've been waiting for to bring in more business. Who knows, we may have our own ghost hunting Television show."

Doug pulled the car off the side of the road in close proximity where the cemetery is located according to David. Everyone got out of the car checking their flashlights, ghost detectors and recorders to make sure the batteries were fully charged to start their investigation.

David said, "Everyone follow me, the location is just beyond those group of trees about one hundred yards away," as he shined his flashlight on the group of trees back and forth.

"David, I really hope your friend Tommy's made up story is really true," replied Jimmy.

As the ghost hunters got closer and closer to the cemetery the wind picked up and the temperature dropped to around fifty degrees. Karen said "This is really getting creepier by the minute. Maybe we should turn around and go home."

Doug said in a spooky voice, "What's the matter Karen, are you chicken? Karen, maybe you should wait back at the car while the real ghost hunters look for these dead Witches. We don't need chicken ghost hunters on our team."

Karen answered, "Very funny, Doug! I'm not going anywhere. You can count me in. Besides I want to see a real ghost just as much as anyone of you guys."

David said, "Ok, everyone we’re here.” David asked Karen to turn on the EVP recorder and ask some questions, but to speak slowly and pause between questions. He asked Jimmy to take some readings with the thermo detector. He told Doug to be in charge of video- taping the ghost hunting session. He said he would be in charge of gathering all the data and playback any significant findings.

After about three hours into their investigation, the ghost hunting team gathered some rather chilling evidence. Doug's video showed four dark figures walk past some tombstones. Jimmy's thermo detector picked up high levels of heat around where Doug's video camera panned across the tombstones. David played back Karen's EVP recording on his laptop. The EVP said "Get out! Get out! or you all will die!!

Every ones jaws dropped and were excited that they finally got some of the most significant proof of a real ghost caught on film and on the EVP recorder.

David said to everyone, "I think we're on our way to making our Ghostly Encounters TV show a reality." Everyone was too excited to go home, but they should have left with their spectacular findings. Doug told everyone, "Why don't we take this to the next level?" "What do you mean by that?" asked Jimmy.

"Well, I've got a Ouija board at home. I'm just saying, what if Tommy’s make believe story about a family of Witches is really true. If we could somehow conjure them up from the dead and capture these Witches and get more EVP recordings, who knows we might be on the local news tomorrow for our ghostly findings."

  "Dream on," replied Doug laughingly.

All these team of ghost hunters are going to get out of this night is dead. They should have taken the EVP recording seriously enough to make them all want to leave the cemetery and never return. But Doug's suggestion of using a Ouija board to conjure up the family of dead Witches would prove fatal for them all.

Doug said, "I'll be back in fifteen minutes with the Ouija board so we can see if there really are Witches buried in this cemetery."

Doug sped off down the old dirt road back to his house to bring back the board of evilness. When Doug returned back to the cemetery with the Ouija board the wind was picking up and the temperature was dropping and eerie voices could be heard in the wind.

"Looks like I made it back at the right time. I don't know if you can hear what I'm hearing, but I could have sworn I heard a faint voice telling me to get out," said Doug.

"Come on Doug, let’s get this over with. I'm really cold and feeling tired. Besides your stupid little Ouija board is going to be a waste of time," replied Karen in a nervous voice.

"Sounds like the chicken has come back from the dead," said Doug as he made chicken noises and laughed at Karen hysterically.

"Shut up, Doug, just get on with it," exclaimed Karen.

"Alright, get me some light over here Jimmy," asked Doug eagerly.

Jimmy shined his flashlight on Doug's Ouija board as he sat it on the ground by the four tombstones.

"Jimmy, see if you can make out any of the names on the tombstones?" asked Doug. Jimmy shined his flashlight on one of the tombstones and read the name back to Doug. "Doug, the name on this tombstone says Sarah, but I can't make out any of the words below her name. It looks like some vandals scratched off the words," replied Jimmy.

Karen and David came over and shined their flashlights on the other three tombstones and Karen said "I can only see a name and just like the one Jimmy read back to Doug the words below the name on the tombstone are scratched out," exclaimed Karen.

David came across the same thing as Jimmy and Karen found on the other tombstones.

"Jimmy and Karen read me back the names from the tombstones so that we can conjure up the dead from these graves. Who knows maybe we'll get lucky and be able to communicate with the dead," said Doug.

"Ok, everyone, gather around the Ouija board so we can get the show on the road." said Doug. Everyone sat down and placed their finger tips on the moving piece and Doug asked if there were any Witches buried at this cemetery to the Ouija board. Everyone was amazed at how the moving piece was moving as their fingertips lightly touched it and revealed the answer, yes. They were all amazed, but somewhat skeptical. Just to be sure the board was telling the truth, Doug asked if the names on the tombstones were a family of Witches. Sure enough the Ouija boards answer was, yes. Karen was really nervous at this point and wanted to call off the game and go home. David chimed in and said, "Karen, it’s just a game and we're just making Tommy's story into something that it is not,"

"I can't help it, but what if his story is really true and we're about to conjure up something that should be left
alone," said Karen in a frightened voice.

"Karen, don't worry we'll protect you should anything go wrong," replied David.

"Let me ask a question," exclaimed David. "Are we all going to die?"

The Ouija boards answer was yes.

Jimmy and David agreed with Karen and said, "Maybe we should stop this game before it turns deadly."

"One more question and if nothing happens we'll pack up this game and our ghost gear and head back home. How does that sound to everyone," replied Doug.

Everyone agreed with Doug and Doug proceeded with his question.

Doug laughed and said, "If there really are any Witches buried in this cemetery show yourselves or are you all chicken like Karen?"

Karen hit Doug and said, "That's not funny."

Then just as Doug was putting the Ouija board game back in its box there was a rumbling sound coming from the four graves. Everyone stood up with a frightened look on their faces as the family of Witches rose from their graves.

Doug ran over and picked up his video camera and started filming a ghost hunters’ dream of a lifetime.

Karen started screaming as the Witches opened their coffins and stepped out. Doug dropped his video camera on the ground. The ghost hunters all made a break for Doug’s car, but these evil Witches weren't about to let these ghost hunters get away so easy. The main Witch, Jeb Stone said, "I think I smell something burning." The other Witches were laughing as they were putting four stakes in the ground and placing wood around them. The ghost hunters made it to the car and Doug said, "Look, those stupid Witches were too busy building a fire to notice that we've given them the slip."

Karen replied, "Start the car and let’s get out of here while we still can."

Doug turned the ignition key and the car stalled.

Jimmy chimed in and said, "What are we going to do now Mr. big shot."

"Looks like we need to get out of this car and run like hell," answered Doug.

Just as the ghost busting team opened their car doors, the Witches surrounded the car.

The Witch Jeb Stone said, "My family has prepared a stake for each one of you. My family would like you all to feel what it’s like to burn at the stake just like my family did over one hundred years ago."

Karen started screaming and David, Jimmy and Doug tried to overpower the Witches but the Witches cast a spell on the ghost hunters which put them all in a trance. Doug, Jimmy, David and Karen walked to their stakes that the family of Witches prepared for them. The video tape was still rolling. As the ghost hunters were all tied to their stakes the Witches lit the stakes on fire. The ghost hunting team spell wore off and their screams could be heard on the video camera.

After their bodies burned at the stake, the family of Witches returned to their coffins and the dirt covered their graves just as though they had not been disturbed.

Unfortunately, all that was captured on Doug's video tape was their screams and the noise of wood burning.

After careful investigation of the ghost hunters’ deaths, the police came up with their own conclusion that a satanic cult was to blame. The police department’s efforts for the satanic cult theory went cold and the case was unsolved.

Lesson to be learned that if you visit a cemetery after dark. Don't mess with the dead or the dead might just mess with you.
