  All Alone

  Waiting for you all day night in this lonely-lonely ride,

  Thinking ‘bout you all day night in this lonely-lonely ride;

  I don’t know what am I losing,

  What am I gaining,

  Everything goes off my head;

  Forgetting every words of my life,

  I’d be living in this lonely world;

  All alone, all alone, all alone, all alone!

  I am dying to sink in your beautiful eyes,

  Want to be with you till the sun gets lives;

  Live with me till the dawn,

  Making love till the morn;

  Don’t make me long to wait,

  It’s the last or I am late;

  My whole world is in you,

  My whole life is in you,

  I am dying without you in this lonely world;

  All alone, all alone, all alone, all alone!

  Once a time meet me somewhere,

  I would be looking for you everywhere;

  My life is Deeping,

  My heart’s beating;

  It’s all you I have,

  Otherwise I am dead;

  In this lonely world,

  All alone, all alone, all alone, all alone!

  I Remember

  I remember the time,

  When I was a child;

  Laughing and crying was all my time,

  Playing and sleeping was all I like,

  No problem or thought was in my mind!

  I remember the time,

  When I was in school;

  Studying and playing was all my books,

  Teasing and fighting was all that cried,

  Pressure to score was all my time!

  I remember the time,

  When I was a teen;

  Used to be very clean,

  Girls was what I only like,

  Problem was the career to choose in my life!

  I remember the time,

  When I was in college;

  Used to gain infinite knowledge,

  Used to be high in my life,

  To get a job was my entire knife!

  I remember the time,

  When i was in love;

  Things were like I was a dove,

  That girl used to be all my life,

  Worry was to make her only my wife!

  I remember the time,

  When I got married;

  The woman was the only thing I studied,

  A new joy was in my life,

  Making her happy scared me that time!

  I remember the time,

  When I became a father;

  Feeling more responsible rather,

  Playing with the child was all my time,

  Earning for the children was all my life!

  I remember the time,

  When I was in my late mid-age;

  Was bold but had some weakage,

  Children became young so fast is the time,

  Their future was the concern all day and night!

  I remember the time,

  When I became old,

  Weaker and needy I felt cold,

  The grandchildren were all my life,

  But my children had no time!

  I remember the time,

  When I was dead;

  Everyone cried over my bed,

  Later they fighted for the property,

  All that sorrow I gained after life!

  I remember all the phases of my life,

  Wet and cold all the time;

  Worries, sorrow were all I had in my life,

  But no one remembers me for a single time!!

  A New Life

  Mrs. Brown was sitting on a bench at the New York airport, lost in some thoughts. “Coffee with chocolate ice-cream Mrs. Brown, the way you like it!” The voice from the back broke her thoughts and made her come to reality. She turned around only to see Mr. Otter, an old man with semi bald head approximately 58 years old. It was just 4 months ago that she met him. A fine Sunday, George unloaded the bags from his car and told her “don’t worry mom you would be okay! I would be calling you every week, I have made it sure that you be getting all the comforts here. You would be fine! I assure you! I do care for you!” I do care for you; this was what he said while leaving her alone in an old age home. Last week, George’s wife and Mrs. Brown had a little argument over a thing or two and she decided to get rid of Mrs. Brown; modern family wants to be independent, they don’t want to take the load of the old; for them old people are just like a dept. on them and they want to get rid of it. Poor Mrs. Brown, she has to leave her son, her home to live in an old age home. That son, for whom she has sacrificed all her life, all her freedom, she lived a hard living life just to make him an engineer. Today whatever he has got respect, money, a fine live hood in the city is all because of her, and he left her saying that he care, does he even know the meaning of care! This was what Mrs. Brown kept on thinking from the very that moment when he left her. She entered the room allotted to her, while entering the building she noticed that there are only two rooms where someone is living the rest of the somewhat 15 people live in the hall. As she entered the room she started examining it. A window on the front wall from where the garden could be seen, the blue colored room with all the facilities like refrigerator, Television, etc., the blue color, she don’t know why but that blue color was itching her eye. She was looking through the window at her son going back in the car, he didn’t even looked back at her, tears flown from her eyes. “Knock! Knock!; So you are my new neighbor, my name is William otter, I live next to your room, I came here 9 months ago and was feeling very lonely, so now I have got someone to talk! It was your son who left you here, right!” Mrs. Brown suddenly came to her senses, cleaned her tears and then turned around to see Mr. Otter holding a plastic water-bottle. She replied, “Oh! Yes, he is my son he loves me very much, actually I could not live with his family, so I told him to get me another room somewhere else, he insisted very much to live with him but I didn’t agree, so he has left me here but he really loves me very much, so much that he has provided me with many facilities even in this old age home!”; “Oh really! Is that the truth, if so then we would be great neighbors! Glad to meet you Mrs. ….….?”; “Kate Brown”; “Ok! Mrs. Brown, I saw that you have a fridge here, could I keep my bottle in your fridge, actually the common fridge is not working and it’s too hot outside.” Mrs. Brown nodded her head in yes and Mr. Otter after keeping the bottle in fridge and thanking her moved to his room promising that he will meet her at the evening tea time. Mrs. Brown closed the door and started thinking about Mr. Otter, she felt very strange for someone to meet like this and introduce himself in just a one go! She also felt that why she lied him about her son? why she still is saving his son’s reputation, that son who doesn’t even care for her mother?, why? Till evening she was lost in her thoughts finding the answer to this question, and when again Mr. Otter came with tea in his hands. “Have a cup of tea Mrs. Brown yo
u will love it, I made it myself!” Mr. Otter said standing at the doorway. “I am sorry, but I just had one.” “Oh! That’s a rubbish tea you had from the old age home, you will surely love this tea made by me. Please don’t deny, it’s a special tea with ginger and cardamom” Mr. Otter said this handing the cup of tea to Mrs. Brown. She took a sip and said, “It’s really good.” After a moment of silence, Mr. Otter broke the silence, “Where are you from? Mrs. Brown.” “I am from New York and you?” “I am from London.” Mr. Otter replied “Really, that’s way too far, but I would love to go there once in a lifetime! By the way what do you do or I mean what was your profession in the past.” Mrs. Brown asked, “I was in Navy” Mr. Otter replied and they continued to talk for a long time. From then everyday Mr. Otter brings a cup of tea for Mrs. Brown and they start discussing with each other about their past, always try to tell each other that their son was very good and calls them every day. And one day Mr. Otter said, “It’s a month from the time you came here, you must be bored to death living in these four walls. Come on let me take you outside in a park or somewhere and have some coffee or ice-cream.” “Or Both” Mrs. Brown exclaimed. “Yah! Sure but remember that you don’t catch cold!” Mr. Brown laughed and then both went to the park. After one month for the first time Mrs. Brown came out of her room. They roamed in the park and then went to a café. “What would you like to have Mrs. Brown.” “I would like to have cold coffee with chocolate ice-cream, thank you!” Mr. Otter ordered plain hot coffee for himself and cold coffee with chocolate ice-cream for Mrs. Brown. “Thank you, Mr. Otter! It has been a very long time I enjoyed an evening like this, thank you for everything you have done for me!” “Oh! That’s nothing, from now I would bring you here every week, but be careful about your blood sugar level and also the cold! ” Mr. Otter and Mrs. Brown laughed. They laughed; it has been a long time when they last laughed like this. From then on they both almost every day have tea in the evening and go to park, have their coffee at the café every week and Mr. Otter never let Mrs. Brown Pay for her coffee. They spent a lot of time together. Until one evening, when Mr. Otter didn’t bring the cup of tea to her room. That day, he also didn’t met her in the morning. Mrs. Brown for the first time goes to his room to check what the matter is; she was very scared and was afraid that anything has happen to Mr. Otter. The door of Mr. Otter was opened, when she entered the room, she could not stop herself to notice that Mr. Otter has all the comfortable facilities, a large L.C.D., a big refrigerator, D.V.D-D.V.R. player, a home theatre, Laptop, A.C., etc. and she also noticed that many things were scattered over the floor and Mr. Otter was sitting on a swinging chair with his hands on his head and he was crying. Mrs. Brown suddenly ran to him and took his hands in her hands and asked her, “This, what happened here? Are you alright? Let me call the cops!” “No Wait”, Mr. Otter stopped her, “It’s nothing, I scattered that all, Mrs. Brown actually I want to tell you something.” “Tell me it’s alright you can share anything with me, tell me what happen!” Mrs. Brown was really worried. “My son called me after 13 months; he called me for the first time since he left me here!” Mr. Otter said “what did he said” Mrs. Brown asked. Mr. Otter cryingly answered her, “He just asked that if I am alive or dead, I can’t believe he called me after a long time just to ask that am I alive till now or not? What a pity, I had sacrificed my all life for my son and on back he leaves me alone in an old age home! He says he cares about me, that’s why he has given me so many facilities, but let me tell you one thing, I swear to god that I have not touched any of his things and not even used it once, I have also not used the money order he sends to me every month from the day he left me here!, I have not used the things which he says is his love for me!” “Where is he now?” Mrs. Brown asked. “He is somewhere in Los Angeles with his family” Mr. Otter answered. Mrs. Brown holding his hands in hands keeping her head on his shoulders said, “Mr. Brown, I am sorry I also lied you my son hasn’t called me from the past 3 months, living in the same city he doesn’t even care to come to meet me once! He has forgotten his mother. Mr. Otter, please take me somewhere away from here, from this life!” Mr. Otter agreed and he dialed a call to his son, “Hello, Dad!” “Son, from now on, I am not your father, I am dead for you! You don’t have to care for me anymore and yes! one more thing, I have not used any of your things called love! I am keeping those things here leaving this for once and for all. Come here and do collect your money orders along with your things, I haven’t used any!” “Hello! Hello Dad! just listen to me…………” Mr. Otter cut the call. And signaled Mrs. Brown saying it’s your turn. “Mrs. Brown called his son, “Hello George! no need to send money orders from now, you are free from my load.” Before George could say anything, she cut the line. The very next morning they left for the airport. “Hey! This is our flight, come on Mrs. Brown we have to catch a flight!” Mr. Otter said to Mrs. Brown on the announcement call from the airport. Mrs. Brown comes out from her thoughts with a drop of tear in her eyes. “Oh! Mr. Otter, thank you for everything you gave me.” “Oh! Come on, don’t cry and don’t you dare make me cry too, this is the start of our new life.” Mr. Otter said holding her shoulders. “Yes! Mr. Otter. Our new life!” Mrs. Brown replied keeping her head on his shoulder. And both moves together to catch their flight for their new life!
