  The Real Me

  I was brilliant

  I was a fool

  I wrote about everything

  I wrote about nothing

  Meticulous

I had product in my hair

  A gleam in my eye

  I wore Aviators

  I was a handsome motherfucker

  Party Man

  He had a boat

  There was beer

  He possessed a wealth

  Of loose women

  Jobs

  Do this

  They say

  Come in

  Now

  Work

  You need the money

  Johnny and the rock

  Under the table

  I hid

  Johnny's eye was

  Black

  I had thrown

  A Rock

  At his face

  Friends

  I didn't like people

  Well,

  Some of them

  Sancho

  In search of prosperity

  Hope, Dreams

  Back home

  Another man penetrated his love

  Watching over his abode

  Hole Head

  He sat

  And ate

  I peered through the hole

  In his head

  Into his thoughts

  Through his dreams

  Three

  Pricked and poisoned

  Abused and refused

  Sweet and sold like Taffy

  Shattered, discarded

  Disposed of like

  Trash

  Cigarette Man

  Packed to the brim

  Overflowing with death

  Providing life

  Hijacked, strong-armed

  Left with but one

  Marlboro

  Bald

  Reflections of myself

  A two headed monster

  Bald

  Scabby

  Disgusting

  Animals

  Her width was absurd

  Unable to fit

  Through a standard

  Doorway

  Not human

  But beast

  Suits

  I wore a suit

  I looked

  In the mirror

  It was

  Strange

  I was

  Different

  Fancy shoes

  Shiny

  And black

  I had polished them

  Thoroughly

  My shoes were better

  They were

  Shinier

  Wedding dancer

  I drank

  And I danced

  The more I

  Drank

  The better

  I was

  The Giant

  I was lost

  In a car

  On a lawn

  The giant pressed on

  I leered at the

  Carnage

  The Whistler

  He whistled

  And worked

  A man tried to

  Kill

  His uncle

  Overalls

  The house was abandoned

  A pack of wild children

Clawed at the cracked white paint

  Should I notify the Police?

  Or kill them myself?

  Sicily

  Dainty and dark

  With a hint of red

  High, screeching tones

  Her marine was in Texas

  I waited and yearned

  CK

  She was ugly

  Not

  Grotesque

  There was something

  I was

  Infatuated

  Indian burn

  On the playground

  I laughed

  She twisted my Arm

  I spat

  In her face

  Money

  I needed it

  I hated it

  It was crucial

  It was

  Pointless

  Wallet

  I took my

  Money

  Out of my wallet

I gave it to the man

  He gave me

  A new

  Wallet

  Poka dot socks

  "They stole my

  Bike,

  My jeans and my

  Socks" he said

  I nodded

  He was

  Losing

  His

  Mind

  Bow and arrow

  From bamboo shades

  Constructed tools of

  Death

  Entertainment

  I was a

  Deadeye

  The Arabs

  The house smelled

  They yelled and

  Screamed

  They had a

  Party store

  Basketball

  I haven't played

  In a while

  I've lost my touch

  You never

  Had

  A touch

  The Hallway

  The bell rang

  I didn't want to

  Leave

  Or stay

  It was my

  Secret

  The Future

  Straighten up

  He said

  Or you'll wind up

  In a

  Trailer park

  Myrtle Beach

  I looked out

  At the

  Sea

  I listened and

  Smelled

  I remembered and

  Stayed

  Forever

  Sweet Jane

  A pain

  In her back

  She laid down

  Resting

  She slept

  Forever

  Grandpa

  He looked like

  Me

  Older and

  Grey

  I sat, unknowing

  Faded away

  Upstairs

  A sense

  A knowledge

  Premonition

  I felt it in my

  Spine

  I wasn't Alone

  Driving

  I road in a truck

  Ham sandwiches

  A hot summer

  Day

  Fishing

  OJ had killed

  His

  Wife

  Bear

  They call you

  Satan

  It had better

  Disappear

  Or you

  Will

  Papa Romano's

  Grab a rag

  There's

  Blood

  All over my

  Car

  Pizza Face

  Her leg was infected

  Rotting

  She talked and dripped

  Into the food

  Her legs, rotting

  Poising the world

  Thomas Gardner br />
  Locked away

  A prisoner from

  The light

  He smoked

  And wet

  Himself

  Brian Said Dance

  Dance

  Get some pussy

  Everyone dances

  I shrugged

  And drank

  I danced

  Menace

  With dirty feet

  A fat face

  A trailer queen

  That monster

  That whore

  The porch

  They came

  And they went

  They drank from plastic cups

  Smoking cigarettes, pot and

  Crack

  Some were great men

  Others,

  Scoundrels

  Shroom Business

  We smiled

  They smiled

  I sneered

We cooked them in the oven

  Acting

  Believing

  Profiting

  Deceiving

  Karate Mike

  Entangled and struggling

  Red-hot rage

  The father kicked

  Each child

  In the chest

  Shed

  It's time

The drummer is in the tent

  Drunk

  Incoherent

  The bassist has quit

  And they were all here

  For them

  Jailbird

  A card shark, a criminal

  A snaggletoothed grin

  Twitching and plotting

  Staring and rotting

  A Jailbird

  Forever

  Woozy

  Are you Okay?

  They asked

  I went to answer

  But I was

  Asleep

  Again

  Greener

  It looks

  Good

  From here

  I could smell the

  Freshness

  I took a chance and

  Hopped the fence

  It was brown

  And

  Dead

  Whiskey Mondays

  Walking to the store

  An Arab

  It was Monday Night Football

  Solo cups of

  Whiskey

  Seagram's

  Greatness

  Freaky Face

  Wind in my Face

  The truck drove on

  Into the Cones

  Wind in my Face

  Glass in hers

  Screaming

  Fountaining Crimson

  Screaming

  Dirty Girl

  Her face radiated

  Heavenly warm tones of

  Rich gold

  She pretended she was

  Nice

  I knew

  Different

  PCP

  I walked

  Across the field

  To

  The slide

  "I have PCP" he said

  I doubt it, I thought

  I smoked

  He was

  Right

  Vodka and Redbull

  I drank

  Whiskey

  She, Vodka

  We fell

  Laughing

  Biting

  Humping

  The Pilot

  Clutching

  At the stick

  Screaming

  Down the road

  Crying

  Blubbering

  Emotional, wild

  Insane

  Comrad

  Wheathins

  Or Ritz

  Crushed in my hand

  In the pipe

  Smoke it, you Albanian

  Don't be

  A

  Pussy

  B&E

  Pale grey Skies

  Cold

  Reflections

  Tugging

  Frosted steel

  Seeking

  Change

  Drugs, or

  Paperclips

  Drunk driving

  Turn left

  No, Right

  Back and forth

  In the street

  I weaved

  They

  Made me dance

  Stop this! I yelled

  Take me to

  Jail

  2004

  Glory

  Sweet, majestic rapture

  The ugly giant,

  Overthrown

  The Motor City

  On top

  Again

  Careers

  What would you do

  For

  Money?

  Answer Phones?

  Carry a briefcase?

  Walk, jog

  Eat

  Shit?

  Wear a Suit

  Speak Chinese

  Pornography, Science

  Drugs

  College

  I embarked

  To

  Learn

  A higher institution

  A prosperous mob

  Of whores

  Old houses and

  Rivers

  Of vomit

  8

  Maniacal laughter

  Rampant asinine debauchery

  Severely pummeled

  With feathers,

  Murder

  Blond Guy

  Fat and blond

  Bulbous

  Bizarre and befuddling

  Beyond fat

  Bitchy and boisterous

  Fat and Blond

  Pot

  Aromatic with

  Emerald

  Soothing

  Filling fancy glassware

  Fashioned in a hut

  By men with beards

  And slippers

  Women

  With names like

  Waterfall

  And Everbean

  The Woods

  Crumpled leaves rustling

  Further away

  From

  Civilization

  The gypsie's camp smelled of

  Urine

  A suitable log

  Observing the

  Scenery

  Fisherman

  Beef jerky on a

  Hook

  Cast out to

  Sea

  Waiting, wishing

  Puzzling

  Intent on a

  Bite

  The cool grandma

  She told stories

  Of leather jacketed uncles

  Frontiersman

  Movemakers

  Of jumped fences

  And

  Lost love

  Real Fishing

  On the shores

  Smelling of worms and

  Beer

  I pissed

  Ruthlessly

  Into a bush

  BB

  I laid in the

  Grass

  Staring

  Slithering

  Unknowing, unrespecting

  The true

  Aim

  Of my

  Assailant

  Family vacation

  From Montana to

  Peru

  The van rolled on

  Day and Night

  Waterfalls and

  Tribes of pigmy

  Cannibals

  SG

  Yearning and spitting

  Warm water from a

  Waxy

  Plastic cup

  I peddled harder,

  The cards in my

  Spokes

  Freedom

  Arban

  A foreigner

  A speech impediment

  A cleaved toe

  Eaten?

  Perhaps

  Or too dumb

  To

  Realize

  Girbaud

  Green and tan

  Striped

  Elegant

  Where
did

  You

  Get

  Your Girbaud?

  Christmas

  I laughed

  And drank

  With friends

  We were Merry

  Miles away

  Another man grunted

  On top of my love

  Christmas II

  It was cold

  December rains and

  Jack frost

  My father and I

  Sat

  In wool chairs

  Sipping

  Scotch

  The Fight

  He walked on

  While his

  Assailant

  Tormented

  I'll not fight he said

  The aggressor leered

  Then was

  Punched out

  Cold

  Burts

  He liked coffee

  Planting

  Tomatoes

He was a large fan of

  Fishing

  Drinking

  Cutting himself

  Teve

  Covered in cats

  Fur in his lip and

  Eyes

  Consuming

  Chocolate powder

  Straight

  From the

  Can

  Brains

  A towering Fool

  Hip

  Moronic

  Driving a white Acura

  So

  Country

  Zipper tits

  Layers of leather

  Silver zipped teeth

  Constricting

  Zipper tits

  Zipper tits

  Set the girls

  Free

  Beer

  My cup clinked

  On the counter

  Empty

  I shook my head

  She nodded

  And poured into my cup

  Suds

  Cold; Excellent

  Saturday

  We awoke

  Early

  Ravaged with

  Thirst

  For the blood

  Of innocent

  Warriors

  Booger

  He took the

  Speedometer

  Out

  His furrowed brow

  Black with oil

  Slick with

  Vodka

  He put the

  Speedometer

  In

  Large R

  I must

  Have thrown it away

  Forever, gone

  Here it is

  Where I put

  It

  Z

  Close and

  Familiar

  Conquered and forgotten

  That smell

  Recalls

  The fire in the

  Night

  Haunted House

  The hall was red

  Vertical

  Elongated

  Emptied of life

  An eerie

  Tinge

  Fart Laugher

  The more he did it

  The faster

  They came out

  With ripping sounds and

  Foul

  Gas

  Always Cuz

  Always, cuz

  Always

  No;

  Only

  Sometimes

  Fancy Chicken Sandwich

  I gently laid

  A lovingly toasted

  Roll

  With apprehension, flush

  On the counter

  Velvety breast, kissed

  By the grill

  Tucked in

  With

  Bacon

  Rose

  She ran

  Up the hill

  Her chins, mocking

She had lost one-hundred thirty pounds

  An entire

  Attractive

  Woman

  Tiff

  The pearl of the ball

  A line dancing hussy

  Magnificent and drunken

In the minds and loins of

  Forty dead

  Eyes

  Drinking

  Train tracks

  I stumbled with the

  Vomit

  All over

  I cursed and
